Janet Jackson 'excited' about new tour

NEW YORK, June 7 (UPI) -- Pop singer Janet Jackson says she is excited about her upcoming tour of the United States, her first in nearly seven years.

The "Discipline" star said despite not touring in years, she does not feel anxious about returning to the live stage when her "Rock Witchu" tour begins in September, SOHH.com reported Saturday.

"I'm so excited to be able to hit the stage again," Jackson said. "It's been, I think about seven years. It feels great, there is no anxiety."

Yet Jackson did say she has been struggling with Island Records since the label released the first single from "Discipline," SOHH.com reported.

"We started off with 'Feedback' and the label and myself haven't quite seen eye to eye since 'Feedback,' so they've basically stopped all promotion," she said of the 2008 release. "I'm trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album so I don't think you're going to hear another single off this album."
