Vin Diesel becomes a first-time daddy

LOS ANGELES, June 6 (UPI) -- Vin Diesel's girlfriend has given birth to a baby girl, a representative for the Hollywood actor has confirmed.

The first child of Diesel and his girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez, was born April 2, the actor's representative told People.com.

Diesel is now working on the action film sequel "Fast and Furious," which is set for a June 2009 release. He will next be seen in "Babylon A.D.," due in theaters Aug. 29.
