Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
NEW YORK, June 6 (UPI) -- A strip of three Brazilian postage stamps from 1843 sold for nearly $2.2 million in a New York auction, said Robert A. Siegel Auction Galleries Inc.
The items were sold at a public auction Thursday of rare South American stamps.
The anonymous buyer placed the winning bid for the three "bull's eye" design, 30 reis and 60 reis denomination stamps by phone.
The gallery said the price was the highest ever paid for South American stamps.
