LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Bruce Willis reportedly is in talks to headline a big-screen adaptation of the popular video game "Kane and Lynch: Dead Men."

Variety.com reported Simon Crane will make his feature film directorial debut on "Kane" after he served as second unit director and stunt coordinator on movies such as "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Troy," "X-Men: The Last Stand" and the upcoming "Hancock."

If Willis comes on board, he would play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a mercenary who forms an unlikely alliance with schizophrenic killer James Lynch, the trade newspaper said.

Although the role of Lynch hasn't been cast yet, Crane is expected to start shooting the movie before the end of the year, Variety.com said.
