LOS ANGLES, Calif., June 2 (UPI) -- Kelsey Grammer's publicist said the U.S. television star has suffered a mild heart attack while on vacation in Hawaii.

Grammer, 53, is best known for his roles on "Cheers," "Frasier" and "Back to You."

His publicist Stan Rosenfield told E! News the actor suffered a "mild heart attack" Saturday and is now "resting comfortably" in a local hospital.

"He will be released from the hospital early this week," Rosenfield said, adding Grammer began experiencing symptoms after he spent the morning paddle boarding with his wife Camille.
