NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- Robert Iler, who played A.J. on the TV mob drama "The Sopranos," owned an apartment in the New York building whacked by a crane collapse Friday, TMZ.com said.
The entertainment news Web site said Iler was home at the time of the incident and felt the impact, but escaped the building unscathed.
Although his apartment was not affected by the collapse of the 200-foot crane, sources told TMZ.com the experience was "very traumatic" for the actor because he witnessed the devastation first-hand.
Two workers reportedly were killed and one was seriously injured when the crane collapsed on Iler's 32-story Manhattan building, which was under construction.
TMZ.com said Iler had lived in the building for several years.
