Will Smith nervous about daughter dating

NEW HAVEN, Conn., May 27 (UPI) -- British rock 'n' roll icon Paul McCartney has been awarded an honorary doctor of music degree from Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
"You have pushed the boundaries of the familiar to create new classics," said Richard Levin, the university's president. "From the energy of 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' to the melancholy of 'Yesterday,' to the spirituality of 'Let It Be,' you have played every chord, touched every emotion. We admire your musical genius and your generous support of worthy causes."
The BBC said a band played "Hey Jude" as McCartney walked on stage Monday to accept his degree during the university's graduation ceremony.
McCartney didn't make a speech at the event, the BBC said.
