LOS ANGELES, May 27 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Tori Spelling has confirmed she will again play Donna Martin on the upcoming spinoff of her former TV series "Beverly Hills, 90210."

"Donna loved designing and wanted a career in fashion. It'll be fun to explore that storyline," Spelling told People magazine. "And, I'm sure fans will be dying to know if she's still married to David!"

Actress Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor, Donna's best friend on the original series, has also signed on for the new edition of the show.

When "90210" ended in 2000 after a 10-year run, Kelly was reunited with her on-again, off-again love Dylan (played by Luke Perry,) while Donna married her longtime sweetheart David (played by Brian Austin Green.)

A representative for the new show told People Donna will "own one of the coolest stores in Beverly Hills" in the "90210" spin-off.

"Donna Martin was such a huge part of my life. It's going to be so fun to work with Jennie again and see where Donna is today," Spelling said. "When they say you can't go home again, it's not true. I'm headed back to the zip code I know best and couldn't be happier!"
