SALT LAKE CITY, May 25 (UPI) -- KayCee Stroh, who plays pop-and-lock girl Martha in the American "High School Musical" television movie series, says she is engaged to be married.

Stroh, 23, announced her engagement to production company owner Ben Higginson, People Magazine reported Sunday, after her 24-year-old beau proposed to her at a romantic outlook commanding a view of Salt Lake City, where "High School Musical 3" is under production.

"We shot from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., and Ben was waiting for me in my trailer," Stroh told People. "He was waiting for me with a single red rose. Then he took me up to the H Rock, a place at the top of a little mountain that overlooks Salt Lake City, and we watched the sunrise. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him."

Stroh said her engagement ring is a "princess-cut solitaire diamond surrounded by pave set diamonds," and she adds, "I don't ever want to take it off!"

"High School Musical 3" costars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu and Lucas Grabeel, none of whom knew the news about Stroh beforehand, People said.
