NEW YORK, May 22 (UPI) -- Numerous treasures have been moved to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art while Britain's Victoria and Albert Museum is undergoing renovation.

"Medieval and Renaissance Treasures from the Victoria and Albert Museum" opened in New York this week.

Among the items in the exhibit are the Forster Codex, one of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks; the enameled reliquary casket of St. Thomas Becket; a golden pendant of a salamander with a square-cut emerald dangling from one ear; and the remains of a tiny statue of the crucified Christ carved by Giovanni Pisano 700 years ago, the New York Post said.
