LONDON, May 22 (UPI) -- The Queen of England has put the kibosh on future deals with magazines after Hello! magazine published 59 pages of photos from her grandson's wedding.
Peter Phillips, who is 11th in line for the British throne, married Autumn Kelly at St. George's chapel in Windsor on May 17.
The couple was paid $1 million in exchange for unprecedented access to the event, the Daily Telegraph reported. The magazine ran numerous photos of the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales, taken during and after the wedding, as part of its "world exclusive."
The Telegraph said the Queen was not consulted in advance about the deal, which has been criticized this week.
A senior royal source told the newspaper: "It will never ever happen again. In hindsight it should never have happened in the first place."
The ban would apply to weddings, christenings and other public events attended by the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, the source said.
