'Idol' winner's first single now on iTunes

LOS ANGELES, May 22 (UPI) -- Representatives for David Cook said the "American Idol" winner has released his first single, "The Time of My Life," on iTunes.

Cook sang the song after he found out he won the the Season 7 edition of the U.S. singing competition show Wednesday night.

The song was written by Regie Hamm, winner of the "American Idol" songwriting competition, and will be available Friday at all digital music retailers, BWR Public Relations said.
