NEW YORK, May 20 (UPI) -- A New York college student and model reportedly is suing actress Lindsay Lohan for allegedly taking her $11,000 mink jacket from a Manhattan nightclub.

The New York Post said Maria "Masha" Markova, a student at Columbia University, has filed a civil lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming Lohan took her jacket "without claim of authority, privilege or right" this year at a private party at a nightclub.

Markova said she didn't think she would recover the gift from her grandmother, but then she saw Lohan, who had been at the nightclub at the same time Markova was, weeks later wearing a blond mink in several magazine pictures.

The jacket was returned with no explanation or apology after Markova called the club to complain and reached out to Lohan's attorneys, the Post said.

Markova is asking for unspecified damages, the New York Daily News said.
