

NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- Lincoln Center's staging of the 1949 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical "South Pacific" won five Drama Desk awards in New York Sunday.
The show picked up the prizes for Outstanding Musical Revival, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical for Paulo Szot, Outstanding Director of a Musical for Bartlett Sher, Outstanding Sound Design and Outstanding Set Design of a Musical.
"August: Osage County," Tracy Letts' drama about a dysfunctional family, won the awards for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for Deanna Dunagan and Outstanding Director of a Play for Anna D. Shapiro.
Patti LuPone won the prize for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical, while her "Gypsy" co-stars Boyd Gaines and Linda Benanti won the Outstanding Featured Acting awards in a Musical.
Mark Rylance of "Boeing-Boeing" won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Award and Laurence Fishburne received the Outstanding Solo Performance prize for his portrayal of Supreme Court Thurgood Marshall" class="tpstyle">Justice Thurgood Marshall in "Thurgood."
Conleth Hill of "The Seafarer" and Linda Lavin of "The New Century" were honored as Outstanding Featured Actor and Actress in a Play.
