LOS ANGELES, May 19 (UPI) -- U.S. singer Jessica Simpson and NFL star Tony Romo were "very much the couple" at Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's weekend wedding, a source told People.com.

Rumors have been swirling that Simpson and Romo had broken up in part because the singer was upset her ex-boyfriend, singer John Mayer, has reportedly been dating actress Jennifer Aniston.

However, People.com said Romo was with Jessica Simpson at both the rehearsal dinner she held at her house Friday and her sister's wedding Saturday.

"They were very cozy and cute together," a source said. "She's definitely not mourning John Mayer! She was in an amazing mood and so happy her sister was getting married. ... They were kissing and holding hands throughout the night. He was very sweet to her. They were very much a couple."

Jessica Simpson's spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, has also dismissed reports of a split between her client and Romo as "not true."
