Source: Romo to escort Simpson to wedding

HOLLYWOOD, May 17 (UPI) -- Pop singer Jessica Simpson will be escorted to the wedding of her sister, Ashlee, by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, a source says.

While reports have surfaced recently that the singer-athlete duo have broken up, a source close Jessica Simpson said Romo will serve as her date to her younger sister's wedding, People magazine reported Friday.

In addition to the source's information, a representative for Simpson said this week that there is no validity to the recent break-up rumors.

"It's not true," representative Cindi Berger said.

The "Dukes of Hazzard" actress is serving as the maid of honor for her 23-year-old sister at her wedding to rocker Pete Wentz of the band Fall Out Boy.

People reported the actress and NFL quarterback met Friday for lunch at a Hollywood eatery and all appeared to be well with the celebrity couple.
