Hall selling wedding dress at discount

LONDON, May 17 (UPI) -- Model Jerry Hall is auctioning off the wedding gown she wore when she married British rocker Mick Jagger at a discount price, a fashion specialist says.

Fashion specialist Kerry Taylor said her auction house was auctioning off the notable wedding dress at a pre-specified price of between $600 and $1,000 as part of a nearly 70-item auction by the former model with all proceeds going to charity, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

"Jerry wants this auction to be accessible to everyone," Taylor said. "She wants to raise as much money as possible for the charity, but she also wants the prices to be affordable for anyone."

Taylor said Hall decided to sell the dozens of items after realizing she no longer used them, but did hint at a possible hidden agenda for the June 10 sale.

"She probably does associate some items with a part of her life that is now over and that she wants to move on from," Taylor told the Mail.

Hall married the Rolling Stones singer in 1990, but their romantic relationship ended after more than 20 years when the couple's marriage was annulled in 1999. The former couple have four children together, the Mail said.
