Trainer bitten by tiger on rap video shoot

MIAMI, May 14 (UPI) -- A wildlife trainer reportedly was bitten on the calf on the Miami set of rapper Rick Ross's new video for his song "Here I Am."

The white tiger named Sabi, which played Ross's pet in the music video, bit trainer Mark McCarthy, leaving two puncture wounds in his right calf, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported.

McCarthy told the newspaper Sabi bit him Monday after she got tangled in her chain and panicked as McCarthy tried to free her.

"She's starting to choke. Whatever's around her she figures is choking her and she's biting in all directions," McCarthy told the Post. "Won't be the first time I've been bit, won't be the last. I've been bit by everything from venomous snakes to tigers and leopards and monkeys and who knows what else."

The owner of McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary was briefly treated by paramedics on the scene and, but insisted the shoot continue.
