LONDON, May 13 (UPI) -- Singer-songwriter Robin Gibb said a musical based on the Bee Gees's songbook is in the works and could be on stages in London and New York in a year or so.
Gibb told the BBC the show is being written and could be ready in the next 12 to16 months.
He made the announcement as a plaque honoring the Grammy Award-winning 1970s pop group's achievements was unveiled in London.
"It's very special and more so because of losing Maurice in 2003, my twin brother," Gibb said at the unveiling Saturday. "It's an honor to him because he is no longer with us and because it is bringing up memories."
He said the former home of the band's manager and producer Robert Stigwood, upon which the plaque was installed, "used to be a hub for meeting up and writing."
