BURBANK, Calif., May 12 (UPI) -- NBC and GM say a new U.S. TV drama starring Christian Slater will prominently feature two GM vehicles as part of a cross-platform marketing partnership.

"My Own Worst Enemy" marks the film and stage actor's first starring role on a TV series.

In the show, due to premiere on NBC this fall, two different GM cars will represent distinct aspects of Slater's character's personality.

The series casts Slater as a suburban dad living a double life as an operative "who speaks 13 languages, runs a four-minute mile, and is trained to kill with his teeth," NBC said.

The deal between NBC and GM was borne from the network's April "InFront" meetings, where the company presented a full 65-week programming schedule six weeks before the traditional upfront presentations.

"This great partnership helps GM leverage our content and utilize our platform in a transformative way," Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios, said in a statement. "They are a market leader and we are a market leader. It validates our Infront strategy to be early and create a two-way conversation with our clients."
