Liv Tyler, Royston Langdon split up

LOS ANGELES, May 8 (UPI) -- Liv Tyler's representative has confirmed the U.S. actress and her British recording artist husband Royston Langdon have separated.

The couple married in 2003 and are the parents of a 3-year-old son.

"Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time," Tyler's representative told People.com.

Tyler is the daughter of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler. She has appeared in the films "Inventing the Abbotts," "Armageddon" and "Jersey Girl."

Langdon was a former singer and bassist for the rock band Spacehog.
