LAS VEGAS, May 7 (UPI) -- Pop music icon Cher began her nearly 200-show, three-year-long stint at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Tuesday night.

In the new 90-minute, concert-style show, the singer and actress performs hits like "If I Could Turn Back Time," "Believe" and "Strong Enough."

The production also offers vintage footage of rarely-seen "Sonny and Cher" clips and a stage that changes its scenery for every song and mood, AEG Live said.

"If you thought my other shows were exciting, just wait until you see this one," Cher said in a statement. "This show is me ... but bigger. It takes some of my favorite elements from my touring shows and kicks them up a notch."

"We knew there was going to be a high demand for this show, but the response has been truly overwhelming," added John Meglen, co-CEO and president of AEG Live/Concerts West. "All of us at AEG Live thank the fans, our partners and the city of Las Vegas for the support of this project and congratulate Cher and her team on this well-deserved success."

Tickets for performances of "Cher" through October are now on sale and cost between $95 and $250 apiece.
