

NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- The quirky indie comedy "Juno," and Hollywood action flicks "I Am Legend" and "Transformers" were nominated for multiple 2008 MTV Movie Awards Tuesday.
"Juno" and "I Am Legend" were both nominated for the best movie prize, along with "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," "Superbad" and "Transformers."
"Juno" leading lady, Canadian actress Ellen Page, was nominated for best female performance. Also up for the prize in that category are Amy Adams of "Enchanted," Jessica Biel from "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," Katherine Heigl of "Knocked Up" and Keira Knightley of "At World's End."
Page's co-star Michael Cera is up for the award for best male performance for his work in "Juno." Also vying for the MTV moon man statuette in that race are Matt Damon for "The Bourne Ultimatum," Shia LaBeouf for "Transformers," Will Smith for "I Am Legend" and Denzel Washington for "American Gangster."
Washington is also in the running for the prize for best villain. He is up against Javier Bardem from "No Country for Old Men," Johnny Depp from "Sweeney Todd," Topher Grace from "Spider-Man 3" and Angelina Jolie from "Beowulf."
The fan-voted awards are to be handed out June 1.
