NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- Dozens of stars helped New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art celebrate the Costume Institute's new exhibit "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy."

Attending the gala Monday night were Beyonce, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, David and Victoria Beckham, Giorgio Armani, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Scarlett Johansson, the New York Daily News reported.

Mary J. Blige, Kristin Davis, Janet Jackson, Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra, Blake Lively and Liv Tyler were also high-profile guests at the fashionable event.

"Ocean's 11" co-stars Roberts and Clooney acted as co-hosts for the evening.
