Reese Witherspoon outlines her goals as a Avon Global Ambassador for the media in New York

LOS ANGELES, May 5 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon said she plans to spend Mother's Day with her mother and two young children.

Witherspoon, who won an Oscar for her work in the film "Walk the Line," is the mother of 8-year-old Ava and 4-year-old Deacon.

The actress declined to disclose any other details about her luncheon date with Mom in her interview with USA Today for fear of having the paparazzi crash her quiet holiday.

That said, Witherspoon admitted being famous isn't always a bad thing.

She said her children have "always kind of known me to be who I was, and if people know Mom at the grocery store, I think they kind of like it."

"Obviously, if you're not having the greatest day, it's not always easy," she added. "But for the most part, (fame) brings a lot of positive things into our life."
