LOS ANGELES, May 4 (UPI) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan has begun filming her extended guest spot on the popular U.S. TV series "Ugly Betty," insiders confirm.
Insiders at the ABC comedy said the "Mean Girls" star joined the series on Saturday as part of her six-episode arc, Variety reported.
Lohan will reportedly first appear in the series, which follows an unglamorous woman working at a high-scale fashion magazine, during the May 22 season finale of "Betty."
The "Speak" singer will then return in the following season for five more episodes, Variety said.
Lohan reportedly will play an old acquaintance of the series' title character, Betty Suarez, who was less than kind to Betty during their school days together.
Yet when the pair reunites, Lohan's character finds her life is in complete disarray compared with Betty's newfound fashion career.
