LOS ANGELES, May 2 (UPI) -- The Screen Actors Guild and a group of Hollywood TV and film producers said Friday they have decided to extend their negotiating sessions.
SAG and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have been trying to hammer out a new contract for more than two weeks.
Talks were slated to end Friday.
AMPTP said earlier this week that there were still "significant gaps" between what the two sides wanted, especially regarding new media.
"The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have agreed to extend their negotiations on a day-to-day basis, excluding Sunday, through Tuesday, May 6 at 5 p.m. (PT) We have no further comment," the two sides said in a joint statement Friday.
