The Virgin Radio rock 'n' contest is aimed at reuniting middle-aged band members whose dreams of becoming musicians fell apart before they made it big, The Times of London reported Wednesday.

"We are looking for bands that split because the bassist slept with the guitarist's girlfriend or because a Yoko Ono got in the way of that hallowed record deal," a Virgin Radio spokeswoman said.

The winning band reportedly will receive a performance slot at June's Hyde Park Calling music festival in London. The Police and KT Tunstall are the event's main acts.
