NEW YORK, April 15 (UPI) -- Adam Sandler, Tina Fey, Conan O'Brien and Ben Stiller all made appearances at the "Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert for Autism" event in New York.

The lineup also included Chris Rock, Will Arnett and Amy Poehler, while "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart presided over the event at the Beacon Theatre, which was broadcast live on Comedy Central Sunday night.

Comedians Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell and Will Ferrell, who appeared as President George W. Bush, contributed to the show via satellite.

The show was planned to raise money for various schools and outreach programs for Autistic children, USA Today reported.

Comedian and cartoonist Robert Smigel, best known for his alter-ego Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, organized the event. His son Daniel is Autistic.

USA Today said a similar special, which aired in 2006, earned nearly $3 million.

Comedian Sarah Silverman told the newspaper Smigel "makes the whole thing happen."

"And it's all people I know from different parts of my life. It's like a family reunion," she said.
