SAN JOSE, Calif., April 14 (UPI) -- Police in California say more than 40 allegedly drunken members of the road crew for the country band Rascal Flatts were kicked off a weekend airline flight.
The incident took place at Mineta International San Jose Airport when the roadies rolled in to catch a dawn flight several hours after the band had performed at HP Pavilion.
"They made a big ruckus," police Sgt. Mike Sullivan told the San Jose Mercury News.
The newspaper said six inebriated band crew members were barred outright from boarding the Frontier Airlines jet; however, the captain then decided everyone was too much out of hand and had them all bounced from the plane.
The newspaper said the chastened roadies had to either take other airlines to their destination or had to go to nearby Oakland to catch a flight.
