Guerra wins 3 Latin Billboard awards

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., April 12 (UPI) -- Dominican singer, songwriter and music producer Juan Luis Guerra won three Latin Billboard awards in Hollywood, Fla. this week.

He was named Producer of the Year and, along with his band 440, won Hot Latin Songs, Artist of the Year and Tropical Album of the Year, Duo or Group for "La Llave de mi Corazon."

Aventura, Camila, Daddy Yankee, Gloria Estefan, Jenni Rivera, Kany Garcia, Los Creadorez del Pasito Duranguense de Alfredo Ramirez, R.K.M y Ken-Y and the late Valentin Elizalde each received two prizes Thursday night at the star-studded ceremony at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Conjunto Primavera was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Juanes with the Spirit of Hope Award.

RBD won the Tu Mundo Award, selected by Yahoo! Telemundo.com users.

The event was produced and broadcast live on Telemundo. Aylin Mujica and Alan Tacher were the hosts of the event, which celebrated its 10th anniversary on the network.
