CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2007

CANNES, France, April 11 (UPI) -- Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is scheduled to teach a master class on cinema at the Cannes Film Festival in France, organizers confirmed.

Planners of the event told the BBC the "Reservoir Dogs," "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill" auteur is to speak "about his professional experiences ... with all the spark and enthusiasm for film we know and love him for."

Last year's master class was taught by Martin Scorsese, the Oscar-winning director of "The Departed," "GoodFellas," "Mean Streets," "Raging Bull" and "Taxi Driver."

The official lineup for this year's festival is to be announced April 23, a week later than originally expected, the BBC said.
