Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
NEW YORK, April 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. television fashion designer competition series "Project Runway" is leaving the Bravo network and heading to Lifetime, it was announced Monday.
Lifetime Networks and The Weinstein Co. said Season Six of the reality show will begin in November.
Heidi Klum, "Project Runway's" supermodel host, and Tim Gunn, Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne Inc. and mentor to the show's contestants, are to remain with the series.
"'Project Runway' is our programming crown jewel and great credit goes to Heidi, Tim and The Magical Elves for building more than a television show, but an actual brand that influences fashion interests and pop culture," Bob and Harvey Weinstein said in a statement. "We would like to sincerely thank NBC Universal and Bravo for all their contribution and support."
The Weinstein Co. said NBC filed a lawsuit against it Monday in New York Supreme Court to keep the series from moving from its Bravo network to Lifetime.
"We believe that this lawsuit is without merit. While good for the market for lawyers, it is always unfortunate when parties try to win in court what they have lost in the marketplace," said David Boies, counsel for Weinstein.
