LONDON, April 8 (UPI) -- Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty was sentenced Tuesday to 14 weeks in prison for violating a probation order.

TMZ.com said the sentence was handed down Tuesday in a London court.

The entertainment news Web site said Doherty reportedly continued to use drugs and failed to comply with the terms of his probation.

The Babyshambles frontman has been arrested numerous times in the last couple of years and charged with various drug and motor vehicle offenses. He has also spent several stints in rehab.

TMZ.com said his sold-out April 26 solo gig has been postponed.
