LOS ANGELES, April 7 (UPI) -- Canadian-born actress and sex symbol Pamela Anderson is to star in a new documentary-style television series, E! has confirmed.

"Pamela," which is being produced by the makers of "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" and "Inside Deep Throat," is set for a summer debut, E! Online reported.

"'Pamela' will be an artistically rich and visually stunning series," executive producer Randy Barbato said in a statement. "The series will offer an unprecedented look inside the life of one of today's most iconic superstars in the style of a uniquely shot documentary film."

The series will not, however, feature the two children Anderson has with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, E! Online said.
