ATLANTA, April 5 (UPI) -- Toyota Motor Sales' Scion division will reach the coveted young male demographic by sponsoring the new U.S. TV series "Assy McGee," a sales official said.
John O'Hara, general sales manager for ad sales and marketing for the Adult Swim network, said "Assy" will allow the Toyota youth brand a chance to speak directly to young men through a media they enjoy, TVWeek.com reported Saturday.
"Today's young adult is so heavily marketed to through multiple forms of media, it's imperative that when they spend time at Adult Swim we deliver the same irreverent, humorous approach in our custom marketing content as they value within our programming lineup," O'Hara said.
"Assy" will premiere Sunday on Adult Swim, a block of network shows on the Cartoon Network. The animated series follows the life of a cop without trousers.
The title character will also be featured in 35-second commercials for Scion in which the sans-pants character says Scion sales come with "No Haggle" and "No Hassle," the Web site said.
