LOS ANGELES, April 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. rock band Velvet Revolver announced Tuesday that singer Scott Weiland has left the group.
"This band is all about its fans and its music, and Scott Weiland isn't 100 percent committed to either," MTV.com quoted guitarist Slash as saying in a statement. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."
Sanctuary, the firm that manages the band, declined to comment further on the announcement and no mention of the split was made on Velvet Revolver's Web site, MTV.com said.
The group played the final date of its European tour in Amsterdam earlier Tuesday.
It is unclear whether Velvet Revolver will continue with a new singer, the report said.
