"Shine a Light" premiere in New York

NEW YORK, April 1 (UPI) -- British rock icon Mick Jagger said he enjoyed working on the new Rolling Stones concert film "Shine a Light" even though it was a bit nerve-wracking at times.

Talking to reporters in New York recently about what it was like starring with his band mates in the Martin Scorsese-directed movie, Jagger said it was "a lot of fun."

"It took us two days to shoot the picture. We spent about four days doing the premieres and promotions," Jagger explained. "But I think we had a lot of fun. Shooting this movie was quite nerve-wracking in some ways. It was fantastically enjoyable in other ways."

So, what made it nerve-wracking?

"Because we know we have to do something. And I'm sure Marty, you know, has got a lot of things going on. He's got to cover it if it happens. So, you know, it was quite a challenge," Jagger said.

Pressed to speculate if he thinks the Stones will still be performing when they are 70, Jagger, 64, replied, "Oh, I don't know."

Guitarist Keith Richards, 64, then chimed in saying, "But that's only five years away."

"Yeah, so..." Jagger concluded.
