LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- The U.S. television drama "Women's Murder Club" will return to ABC with new episodes, starting next month, the network announced Monday.

Based on James Patterson's best-selling crime novels, the show is to return with fresh installments April 29.

The one-hour drama series is about four successful women working in San Francisco -- Homicide Inspector Lindsay Boxer played by Angie Harmon, Medical Examiner Claire Washburn played by Paula Newsome, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt played by Laura Harris and crime reporter Cindy Thomas played by Aubrey Dollar -- who use their expertise, their friendship and instincts to solve murder cases, ABC said.
