Poll: Fans most eager to see 'Indiana'

LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" topped Fandango's fan list of the most anticipated summer Hollywood movies.

The movie Web site Fandango said several thousand people voted in its online survey for the films they most wanted to see this summer.

Coming in at No. 2 is "The Dark Knight," followed by "Iron Man" at No. 3, "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" at No. 4 and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Get Smart" at No. 6, "The Incredible Hulk" at No. 7, The untitled "X-Files" sequel at No. 8, "Speed Racer" at No. 9 and "Sex and the City" at No. 10

The late Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker in "The Dark Knight" was voted No. 1 by fans in the category of most anticipated fresh interpretation of a familiar role.

Indiana Jones, who is played on the big screen by Harrison Ford, was voted all-time favorite action movie character, while Ford was named all-time favorite action movie star.
