MALIBU, Calif., March 31 (UPI) -- A woman already under a restraining order was arrested for alleged stalking near the actor John Cusack's Malibu, California, home, police said Monday.

Cusack is best known for his work in the films "Say Anything," "Runaway Jury," "High Fidelity," "Grosse Pointe Blank" and "The Grifters."

Los Angeles sheriff's deputies were called to his neighborhood early Sunday evening after a taxi driver complained that a passenger was refusing to pay for a ride to the area.

Cusack flagged the deputies down and told them he recognized the woman in the cab and that she had been stalking him, the Los Angeles Times said.

Emily Leatherman, 33, was arrested and charged with suspicion of felony stalking, violating a restraining order and petty theft.

Leatherman is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail, sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Times.

"She was arrested and had violated a previous restraining order taken out against her by Mr. Cusack," Whitmore said. "Apparently, Mr. Cusack flagged down one of our deputies and told him that this woman had been stalking him."
