HOLLYWOOD, March 29 (UPI) -- British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is running out of time as he rushes to get his newest U.S. eatery ready to open next week, a contractor says.

The "Kitchen Nightmares" star's London West Hollywood Hotel in California is to open in four days, but one worker at the site has admitted preparations have fallen drastically behind, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

"There is still a hell of a lot to do. Inside, the rooms are almost ready, but nothing else really is," the unidentified builder said.

"The painting of the place is a huge part of the transformation. But we haven't even done half of it. I don't know if it can be done."

Ramsay already has restaurants open in London, New York and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The Hollywood hotel and restaurant is supposed to represent the sister site for the notoriously temperamental chef's London NYC hotel, the British newspaper said.
