NEW YORK, March 29 (UPI) -- U.S. TV actor Keith Carradine has testified in a federal wire-tapping case against private investigator Anthony Pellicano.

The "Dexter" actor testified this week that Pellicano allegedly began harassing him years ago on behalf of his ex-wife, Sandra, and that the illicit actions even included an attempted break-in, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.

"I received a call on my cell phone (from) a gentleman with an odd, sort of fake accent who offered to help me with my divorce," Carradine alleged Friday.

"I said I was an upstanding person with nothing to hide and please do not call me."

Carradine alleged someone attempted to break into one of his trailers in 2001 and an unidentified individual began to follow his then-girlfriend and current wife, Hayley DuMond.

Pellicano is accused of illegal wire-tapping and racketeering for similar actions involving his clients. The Daily News said he could face hundreds of years in prison if convicted.
