SADDLE RIVER, N.J., March 27 (UPI) -- U.S. recording artist Mary J. Blige has paid $12.3 million in cash for an eight-bedroom mansion in Saddle River, N.J., a source told the New York Daily News.
Blige's new home, which is styled after a French country manor house, has a movie theater, fitness center, basketball court, gourmet kitchen and wine-tasting room. It all sits on 4.2 acres of property, the report said.
"She fell in love with this one," the insider said.
The house was originally going for $17 million when it went up for sale last year. It was reduced this year to $13.9 million, the source said.
Rappers Ja Rule, Wyclef Jean and the Rev. Run of Run-DMC live nearby.
Saddle River is also home to Nets' star Vince Carter, actor Danny Aiello and author Mary Higgins Clark, the News noted.
