Robin Williams' wife files for divorce

SAN FRANCISCO, March 26 (UPI) -- Film producer Marsha Williams is seeking a divorce from her husband, Hollywood actor Robin Williams, TMZ.com reported Wednesday.

Marsha Williams filed the necessary legal papers in San Francisco last week, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup.

The couple married in 1989 and have two children together.

They met when Marsha worked as a nanny for the actor and his first wife, Valerie.

Robin Williams' representative confirmed the split to TMZ.com, but offered no additional information.

Robin Williams, 56, won the supporting actor Oscar for the 1997 film "Good Will Hunting" and has also appeared in such movies as "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Aladdin" and "Mrs. Doubtfire."
