LOS ANGELES, March 26 (UPI) -- Anglo-American rockers Fleetwood Mac plan to work again in 2009, one bandmate says.
Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham says the band, which has been dormant since 2004, when it toured to promote its last album, "Say You Will," is "looking at the idea of touring sometime in the first half of 2009." Buckingham also has "a ton of new stuff" that could turn into material for a new Fleetwood Mac album.
He did, however, say that American rocker Sheryl Crow's recent comments that she might join the band were premature.
"I think we were all a little surprised (Crow) was announcing that to the world with such certainty," he says. "Certainly she would be a great addition, but ... I don't think anything is written in stone yet."
Buckingham has just released a new concert DVD, "Live at the Bass Performance Hall," from his 2006-07 solo tour promoting the album "Under the Skin." He said he plans to put out another solo album this summer and play some shows of his own before Fleetwood Mac gets active.
