LOS ANGELES, March 26 (UPI) -- Comic actress Elizabeth Banks reportedly is in final negotiations to play Laura Bush in Oliver Stone's upcoming U.S. President George Bush bio-picture "W."

Banks is best known for her roles in the films "Wet, Hot American Summer," "The Baxter," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Slither," "Fred Claus" and "Definitely, Maybe," as well as on the TV sit-com "Scrubs." She will soon be seen in Kevin Smith's big-screen comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."

Banks would co-star in "W" with Josh Brolin, who was previously cast as George Bush, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The picture is set to begin filming next month in Shreveport, La.
