NEW YORK, March 25 (UPI) -- The first 2008 issue of the new U.S. quarterly magazine Ty Pennington At Home hit newsstands Tuesday, its publisher Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. announced.

Pennington is known for his work on the popular home-improvement TV shows "Trading Spaces" and "Extreme Makeover Home Edition."

The magazine offers Pennington's solutions to the many decorating and remodeling challenges facing today's homeowners, its publishers said.

The debut issue of Ty Pennington At Home was published in May 2007 and was recognized as one of the hottest new publications of the year by MIN magazine.

"Ty Pennington has enormous personal appeal to a large American audience, and, judging from the good performance of the first issue last year, we expect this magazine to sell well both on the newsstand and through subscriptions," Jack Kliger, Hachette's CEO and president, said in a statement.

"I am very excited that the first issue was such a huge success. The positive feedback has been incredible. I'm stoked that the magazine will be quarterly this year and that the ideas in it are inspiring people to try new things. It's a dream come true," Pennington added.
