MIAMI, March 25 (UPI) -- Rock star Tommy Lee has acquired his latest body art during a flight from Burbank, Calif., to Miami, Starlight Tattoo announced Tuesday.

The tattoo was administered by Starlight's artist and CEO Mario Barth aboard a Gulfstar G-4 private jet traveling at about 40,000 feet, the report said.

The event was documented by the Guinness Book of World Records as the first tattoo performed in high altitude.

Lee had been on his way to the 23rd annual Winter Music Conference in Miami, where he is set to appear with partner D.J. Aero at Cameo Friday.

"Mario at Starlight Tattoo is the best tattoo artist in the world," Lee said in a statement.

Starlight did not offer details about where Lee's latest body art was located or what it depicted.
