PERTH, Australia, March 25 (UPI) -- Reports that Australian film actor Heath Ledger left behind only $145,000 when he died in New York in January are incorrect, a source told TMZ.com.

The entertainment news Web site does not dispute that Ledger's will stated he had $145,000 in assets.

However, TMZ.com points out the fact that the legal documents were drawn up in 2003 before Ledger made some of his biggest films and earned some of his largest paychecks.

The source also said the 28-year-old actor lived all over the world and did not keep all of his money in the United States.

How much money Ledger left behind has been the topic of much discussion because his will was written before the birth of his 2-year-old daughter, Matilda, and some parties have voiced concern that she will not be provided for, despite Ledger's father's vow that she would be.

The insider also told TMZ.com statements made by one of Ledger's uncles, claiming Ledger's estate is worth $60 million, is too high.

Ledger's films include "Brokeback Mountain," "Casanova," "The Brothers Grimm," "I'm Not There" and "The Dark Knight."
